Today during my DC Photojournalism trip class we met virtually with Greg Nash, the photo editor (13 years), occasionally takes photographs, places photos on the web and in print for "The Hill." The job involves attending and editing a lot of hearings and. inaugurations. The Hill covers Congress and Legislation.

During the meeting Greg did not share much detail about the photography/ editing position or what a day looks like for him. The entire meeting he went through photographs he has taken throughout his career at "The Hill."

Key takeaways from the meeting:

  • The Hill consists of only Greg Nash running it and whoever the intern is at the time. Sometimes hires freelancers (not likely).

  • Arrive early to whatever you are photographing.

I do not. see myself working for this publication. I am not fond of photographing a lot of hearings and inaugurations.

Today is the last day that my sister is visiting from Arizona. Time is precious. Don't ever take it for granted.
